{"id":1696,"date":"2019-10-12T00:01:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-12T00:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/liverlifewalk.org\/chicago\/?p=1696"},"modified":"2019-10-15T00:53:38","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T00:53:38","slug":"brodi-and-traci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/liverlifewalk.org\/chicagoolder\/brodi-and-traci\/","title":{"rendered":"Brodi and Traci"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tigues\u2019 world came crashing to a halt in September of 2015, when their four-month old son, Brodie, was diagnosed with a rare liver disease \u2013 Biliary Atresia.\u00a0 His only option for survival \u2013 a liver transplant.<\/p>\n<p>After a whirlwind of events, Brodie\u2019s mom, Traci, was a match to be a living organ donor, and she could donate a \u201cSLIVER OF LIVER\u201d to save him \u2013 giving him a second chance at life.<\/p>\n<p>When Brodie was just five months and five days old, the family celebrated his \u201cNEW LIVER BIRTHDAY.\u201d Their surgeries were textbook, with the brilliant Liver Transplant Team at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>The family is thrilled to report that Brodie is doing incredible. He is as adorable and ornery as they come, and he loves his new liver! His favorite things are Paw Patrol, tractors, lawn mowers, teasing his big sister Harper, and being on the move.
