About
The Liver Life Walk is a signature event of the American Liver Foundation (ALF). Providing an inspirational and festive environment, Liver Life Walk events give participants an opportunity to come together and raise awareness and funds in support of the liver community.
Funds raised through the Liver Life Walk benefit the 100 million Americans affected by liver disease through resources, education and support services and help advance our advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and liver disease research. Together, we are moving closer to a world without liver disease.

Lucy was a perfectly normal kid until six months ago. She became sick, was in acute liver failure and diagnosed with an incredibly rare condition called Budd Chiari Syndrome, which causes blood clots in the liver. After some initial procedures failed to adequately clear the clots, she was listed for transplant. Within days she had a donor, and she came out of surgery her normal fiery self, was out of the hospital in a week and back to school in a month. Her recovery has been remarkable. We are so so grateful to Childrens hospital, for recognizing what she needed and caring for her so well, and to her donor family for giving her the gift of life. Learn more about Lucy’s story here.
